Join our bustling warehouse in Portland, Oregon as a Warehouse Associate. We are looking for energetic and dependable individuals to support our daily operations. This role involves a variety of tasks including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products. You will play a key part in maintaining efficient workflow and ensuring that our inventory is handled correctly and safely. We are committed to providing a secure work environment, demanding strict compliance with all safety regulations and the proper utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE). Your contribution is essential to our logistics success and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and verify incoming merchandise against invoices.
- Store goods in designated locations, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling and documentation.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification may be required).
- Conduct inventory counts and assist with inventory control measures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is advantageous.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and logistics principles.
- Knowledge of safe material handling practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work different shifts as required.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
