The Warehouse Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including minor repairs, preventative maintenance on equipment, and assisting with the organization and flow of goods within the facility. You will be working closely with the warehouse management team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that enhance productivity and safety. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of Safety. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. You will be required to use and maintain various tools and machinery, ensuring they are in good working order. Proper use of PPE is mandatory for all tasks. Occasional moderate Lifting may be required as part of daily duties. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyor systems).
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Ensure all equipment is operated safely and efficiently.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies.
- Support the implementation of new warehouse processes and technologies.
- Assist with the organization and flow of materials within the warehouse.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Participate in regular safety training.
- Support overall logistics operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse or maintenance role.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of warehouse equipment and operations.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Familiarity with logistics best practices.
