Exciting opportunity for a Forklift Operator in Los Angeles, California! Our high-volume logistics facility is seeking skilled and safety-conscious operators to manage the movement of materials. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to transport goods within the warehouse, ensuring efficient loading and unloading of trucks, and supporting inventory management. A strong commitment to Safety, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are crucial. This role is vital for the seamless operation of our distribution center and maintaining our logistics chain. We prioritize a safe and efficient workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers efficiently.
- Transport inventory to and from designated warehouse locations.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on forklift equipment.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stocktaking.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE consistently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support the overall logistics and distribution operations.
Qualifications:
- Current forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Thorough knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory control principles.
