Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist for our Columbus, Ohio distribution center. This critical role focuses on maintaining the integrity of our inventory through rigorous tracking, analysis, and process improvement. You will be instrumental in ensuring accurate stock levels, minimizing losses, and optimizing inventory management strategies within our Logistics framework. The ideal candidate possesses analytical skills, a proactive approach, and a strong understanding of inventory control principles. A commitment to Safety and the correct use of PPE is essential. While much of the role is analytical, some physical tasks may require Lifting. Join our growing Logistics team and make a significant impact.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective inventory control procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, optimize stock levels, and reduce carrying costs.
  • Manage the return process and ensure proper disposition of returned goods.
  • Work closely with purchasing, receiving, and shipping departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and promote a Safety-conscious work environment.
  • Train relevant personnel on inventory control procedures and the use of inventory management systems.
  • Generate comprehensive inventory reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics team to improve overall efficiency.
  • Uphold the correct usage of all required PPE.
  • Occasional Lifting of inventory items may be required.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent understanding of Logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Knowledge of Safety best practices in a warehouse setting.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to assist with tasks requiring occasional Lifting.
