This role involves some physical activity, including lifting, and requires the ability to conduct safety inspections and enforce safety standards rigorously. Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff to ensure productivity and performance.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs within the logistics operations.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety standards to minimize workplace incidents.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless workflow and communication.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure all machinery operates safely.
- Maintain accurate records and generate performance reports for management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Excellent knowledge of safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, as needed.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
