Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our inventory at our Charlotte, North Carolina facility. This role is critical to ensuring that our supply chain and logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for tracking inventory levels, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize stock variances. A strong understanding of inventory management systems and a commitment to accuracy are essential. Your daily tasks will involve monitoring stock movements, reconciling physical counts with system data, and identifying root causes for inventory issues. This position requires attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a dedication to upholding rigorous safety standards. You must be comfortable with frequent lifting and possess the ability to operate warehouse equipment safely. Adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE, is mandatory. Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records across all warehouse locations.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in logistics.
  • Manage the receiving and put-away process to ensure accurate stock placement.
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Ensure the proper handling and storage of all inventory items.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, adhering to all safety guidelines and using required PPE.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, accuracy, and variances.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics principles.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and operating equipment safely.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
