Salary - £55k-70k We are seeking a motivated, commercially-minded and detail-oriented Head of Finance & Commercial Analytics. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this is a pivotal role with significant influence across the business. You will occasionally act as a deputy for the Director of Finance, ensuring continuity in financial leadership. As Head of Finance & Commercial Analytics, you will lead a team of Finance Business Partners and Data Analysts dedicated to enabling managers across all functions to make high-quality, data-driven decisions. Your mission is to bridge the gap between financial data and commercial outcomes, translating complex numbers into actionable and commercially relevant insights that drive performance and profitability. A key part of this role will be leading regular P&L reviews with business leaders, ensuring clarity on financial performance and accountability for results. You will also oversee budgeting, forecasting, audit coordination, tax and regulatory reporting and drive continuous improvements in financial systems and processes. Responsibilities
Lead and support a team of Finance Business Partners and Data Analysts to help managers make well-informed and data driven decisions. Provide financial and commercial insight and recommendations to senior leadership, sales managers and support function managers. Drive forward and develop the commercial reporting capabilities and insights using a variety of tools including Google Looker. Evaluate and enhance financial systems and tools to improve reporting, scalability, and operational efficiency. Oversee day-to-day financial operations and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Lead budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with strategic goals. Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and legal advisors to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance. Establish, document, and monitor internal controls to ensure accuracy of financial records. Support the managers in other accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliation and OnePlan. Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with colleagues from parent and sister entities. About You
Demonstrate a strong desire and commitment to driving commercial performance and delivering measurable business outcomes. Be technically strong as well as commercially minded, detail-oriented, and confident in managing in change. Adopt a forward-thinking approach to technology, experimenting with new solutions to unlock efficiencies and improve outcomes. Be a fully Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent). Possess strong technical knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and UK tax regulations. Proven track record of managing audits and improving financial processes. Operate effectively within a complex organisational structure, balancing influence with adherence to governance and compliance frameworks.
