About
We are seeking a forward‑thinking Software Architect to design, guide, and implement scalable, secure, and innovative software solutions across our product lines. This hybrid role includes 1–2 days in the Glasgow office. The Software Architect will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate business needs into robust technical architectures and provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality SaaS solutions.
Job Duties
Translate business and product requirements into detailed technical designs and architectures.
Embrace new technologies and approaches, focusing on customer value, responsive design, advanced data management, analytics, and integration of AI/low‑code solutions.
Support AI integration initiatives, including agentic AI systems for autonomous workflows, generative AI for intelligent content creation, and machine learning models for predictive analytics and personalization.
Work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure solutions are well‑architected, feasible, and aligned with business goals.
Develop prototypes, proofs‑of‑concept, and reference implementations to validate designs.
Apply architectural standards, design patterns, and coding practices to improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Identify technical debt, propose improvements, and contribute to platform modernization efforts.
Stay current with emerging technologies and frameworks, bringing new ideas into solution discussions.
Skills and Qualifications
5–8 years of software engineering experience with exposure to architectural design responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of .NET, C#, Python, SQL Server, and Cosmos DB.
Hands‑on experience with AI technologies, including agentic AI systems, large language models (LLMs), generative AI, and machine learning frameworks.
Experience designing and implementing distributed systems, microservices, and event‑driven architectures using modern frameworks and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience designing and building cloud‑based SaaS applications.
Understanding of architectural patterns such as microservices and event‑driven design.
Exposure to AI‑powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) is a plus.
Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work across teams.
Demonstrated problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Associate, TOGAF Foundation) are a plus.
