We are on an exciting transformational journey to drive significant growth, and to support this, we are seeking a driven Territory Sales Manager to help expand our market presence and strengthen customer relationships.
The Role Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for managing key customer accounts and achieving sales and profitability targets. This role focuses on building strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
You will be based at our Perth Branch in High Wycombe, WA, supporting customers across the broader Perth metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement customer management plans to achieve sales and earnings targets, in line with strategic objectives.
Manage key OEM and strategic accounts by building strong relationships, anticipating customer needs, and creating joint growth strategies.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the allocated territory, while supporting key clients with sales activities and purchasing forecasts.
Provide technical support, assist with product selection and installation, and help customers develop new applications using company products.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure client requirements are clearly communicated and service delivery is consistent and effective.
Prepare regular reports covering sales activity, competitor actions, customer feedback, and field-related issues to support continuous improvement.
Skills and Attributes
Experienced Sales Engineer/Territory Manager with 5+ years in Hydraulics or a technical industry, ideally with engineering or trade qualifications.
Strong business and management acumen, with preferred completion of key account management training.
Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with strong administrative and organisational skills.
Proactive and results-driven, with a self-motivated, can-do attitude.
Skilled in building trust and rapport with key clients and internal teams; excels in translating user needs into practical solutions.
Independent and team-oriented, technically curious, and focused on continuous improvement.
