Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our cutting-edge facility in Chicago, Illinois. In this technical role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of warehouse equipment, including conveyor systems, automated machinery, and material handling equipment. Your expertise is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our logistics operations. You will work closely with the operations team to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, along with a commitment to workplace safety, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe working practices, is essential. Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on all warehouse equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
  • Install, calibrate, and test new equipment as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently according to established standards.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Wear and properly use all required PPE, such as safety glasses, hard hats, and work gloves.
  • Assist with the implementation of preventative maintenance programs.
  • Collaborate with operations staff to address equipment needs and ensure smooth logistics flow.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Experience with material handling equipment and conveyor systems is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
  • Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and using PPE.
  • Ability to perform tasks that may involve moderate lifting and working in various warehouse conditions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
