We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mammography Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety while adhering to best practices in medical imaging. The Mammography Technologist will play a crucial role in the early detection of breast cancer, providing essential support to patients and collaborating with healthcare professionals.
*Responsibilities*
* Perform mammography examinations with precision and accuracy, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
* Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort.
* Maintain aseptic techniques and adhere to safety protocols to minimize risks during imaging procedures.
* Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to discuss findings and ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Keep detailed records of patient information, imaging results, and any relevant medical history.
* Stay updated on advancements in mammography technology and techniques, participating in ongoing education as required.
* Assist in maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
*Experience*
* Proven experience in medical imaging, specifically in mammography or related fields such as urgent care or sonography.
* Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to breast imaging is essential.
* Familiarity with various imaging modalities including X-ray.
* Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and patient care protocols within a clinical setting.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
