About
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Heavy Civil Lead Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring effective budget management. This position requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. College Degree preferred and two years experience required.
*Duties*
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
* Utilize software tools such as Planswift and to create precise estimates and manage project documentation.
* Collaborate with project managers to ensure that estimates align with project goals and timelines.
* Conduct thorough reviews of project plans and specifications to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.
* Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
* Monitor ongoing project costs and implement cost control measures to maintain budget compliance.
* Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for clients.
* Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to each project.
*Skills*
* Proficiency in construction estimating software.
* Strong understanding of cost control principles and contract negotiation techniques.
* Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Knowledge of construction management practices and methodologies.
* Ability to analyze blueprints and technical drawings for accurate estimation.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
* Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
