Sr. Specialist Solutions Architect - AWS Partner Solution Architect Location:
Seattle, Washington (remote possible; preference for Seattle participants; travel up to 30%)
Overview As a Specialist Solutions Architect (SSA) – Data Intelligence Platform, you will guide partners to understand and integrate the Databricks Intelligence Platform with AWS native services to build big‑data solutions on Databricks. You will work partner‑facing, supporting Field Solution Architects and partner teams, and help design and implement essential workloads across a variety of use cases.
The Impact You Will Have
Drive adoption of Databricks products and accelerators on AWS.
Provide tutorials, training, workshops, and conference presentations to the partner community.
Translate field trends, AWS priorities, and Databricks product strategy into a cohesive story that highlights joint value.
Guide strategic partners through architectural design to data engineering to model deployment.
Collaborate with product teams to incorporate field adoption patterns into product improvements.
Develop deep technical expertise in an area such as the open Lakehouse, big data streaming, or data ingestion/workflows.
Assist Solution Architects with technical sales aspects, customizing proof‑of‑concept content and architectures.
Contribute to the Databricks Community.
What We Look For
5+ years of technical experience with at least one of the following on AWS:
Software/Data Engineering: data ingestion, streaming (Spark Streaming, Kafka), performance tuning, troubleshooting.
Data Applications Engineering: building use cases such as risk modeling, fraud detection, partner LTV.
Data Science or Machine Learning Ops: production infrastructure, model management, deployment.
Ability to collaborate independently and influence partners and internal stakeholders without direct authority.
Deep specialty expertise in at least one of:
Data governance systems (Unity Catalog, Alation, Collibra, Purview).
High‑performance production data processing on distributed infrastructure.
Large‑scale real‑time stream processing, CDP, data replication.
Migration/modernization of Hadoop jobs to cloud data lake platforms.
Cloud data formats (Delta) and declarative ETL frameworks (DLT).
GenAI solutions (RAG, fine‑tuning, pre‑training).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Experience maintaining and extending production data systems.
SQL and Python, Scala, or Java programming.
3+ years with Big Data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
3+ years in a system integration partner or customer‑facing pre‑sales/post‑sales role.
Experience with AWS cloud environments.
Can meet technical training and role‑specific outcomes within 6 months.
Pay Range Transparency Zone 2 Pay Range: $196,200 – $274,650 USD. Compensation may include annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.
