In the role of a Transportation Data Scientist, we'll count on you to:
Assist on traffic engineering projects, exercise sound engineering judgment, and
Perform data analysis tasks, including writing SQL queries for data aggregation and visualization
Develop dashboards summarizing a variety of data
Develop report documents detailing analysis methodology and outcomes
Participate in work sessions in conjunction with other staff
Coordinate workload through entire project development, and ensure completion of tasks on schedule and within budget
Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
EI preferred
Experience with cloud-based data analytics platforms, such as Google Big Query, Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure/Databricks
Experience with summarizing findings from analytical processes
Tableau/Power BI
SQL Query writing/Database development
Process-oriented mindset
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation skills and ability to work in a team environment

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
A minimum of 5 years of systems analysis, applications development and support experience with business applications
