The Role in Brief Senior Analyst, Sales Engineering
This unique role within EAB’s technology commercial team requires a creative, collaborative, and solution-oriented individual. This role will bring together our research, case studies, and user journeys into compelling product demonstrations that can be shared with prospective partners.
Partnering closely with key stakeholders across the product management, user experience, and commercial teams, this individual will support the development of compelling and persuasive narratives and high-fidelity product prototypes. The key is to demonstrate to a buyer audience how our technology can improve their student success and data management efforts. Strong communication skills will be put to good use!
Reporting to the Managing Director, Sales Engineering, this individual will rely primarily on using Axure (or similar prototyping platforms such as Figma or InVision) to visualize narratives, product features, and case studies. As our team is quickly growing into new forms and concepts for selling to an executive audience, marketing pioneers will be best suited for this role.
This position will ideally be based in Richmond, VA or Washington, DC but is also open to remote employment within the continental United States.
This position is posted at both the Analyst and Senior Analyst levels; candidates are being considered across both levels of position based on their experience and level will be identified at point of offer.
Primary Responsibilities
Bring to life EAB’s suite of technology through the creation of narrative-driven, persona-based static and interactive product demonstrations
Collaborate closely with the product management, product development, user experience, marketing, and sales teams to accurately and effectively represent current and future capabilities of EAB technology solutions
Build strong relationships with multiple internal stakeholders
Maintain a reusable component library (e.g., Axure widgets or Figma components) to standardize and streamline demo builds
Seek and test new ways to leverage our demos to build a world-class library of commercial assets to support multiple teams
Explore opportunities to incorporate AI-driven demo elements or automated storytelling components
Assist with other commercial responsibilities as needed, including but not limited to live demo support, refinement of RFP documentation, and development of product-focused case studies
Participate in stretch projects and opportunities as needed
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s or advanced degree, with a focus in marketing, information architecture, human computer interaction, interaction design, or product design
3+ years of professional work experience in creating product demos, user research, product design, project management, and/or product marketing
Extraordinary attention to detail
Familiarity with Axure, Figma, or similar prototyping software, with a portfolio of past projects to showcase skill level
A willingness to learn new software and processes as needed
A collaborative and consultative nature, with demonstrated experience eliciting and managing feedback from all levels of an organization
Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced, and often fluid environment
Ideal Qualifications
Past experience in a higher education organization and an understanding of and passion for this field
Familiarity with design thinking and/or Agile methodologies as project management techniques
Experience designing applications or technology that allow users to quickly visualize patterns and intuitively navigate within large, complex data sets
Experience with common design tools such as Sketch, InVision, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, and/or Figma as well as Microsoft PowerPoint

Compensation The anticipated starting salary (base) range for this role is$47,500 - $70,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.
This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, such as individual and organizational performance.
