Job Description Job Summary This position includes full responsibility to lead and manage customer relationships, sales opportunities, growth platforms in existing and adjacent markets with a strong emphasis on engineering focused sales. This includes interacting with potential customers, partners, LPG team members, and suppliers.
The Sales Manager will leverage engineering knowledge to better understand client project requirements, translate technical needs into tailored solutions, and support the development of proposals that align with engineering, construction, and transportation specifications.
Supervisory Responsibilities None.
Duties/Responsibilities
Promotes the growth of existing and new accounts.
Initiates selling LPG services domestically, with an emphasis on engineering-driven solutions.
Interfaces with clients on mid-level and senior-level client stakeholders, including engineering, project management, and operations teams.
Builds relationships with clients and customers.
Leads the generation and qualification of viable leads, particularly within engineering-driven sectors such as utilities, renewable energy, and infrastructure.
Supports administrative requirements related to supplier registrations, customer events, trade show tasks and RFQs via various platforms.
Evaluates sales practices and processes to see if they are having the desired impact.
Plans travel independently for efficient business trips.
Sets and presents weekly, monthly and quarterly sales goals for the team CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and dashboards.
Education and Experience
PowerIndustry knowledge (5+ years).
Professional presentation skillsand visual aid builder.
Good relationship-building skills, externally and internally.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in external sales and operations.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Engineering sales experience is strongly preferred, particularly within the utilities, renewable energy, and/or in-depth knowledge of T&D (transmission and distribution) and substations.
Ability to work independently and in team.
Self-starter and highly motivated.
Strong business acumen, analytical skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills and strategic planning.
Skilled in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Microsoft Suite products.
Physical Requirements
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time. Ability to walk, bend, twist, push, pull, climb ladders, lift 50lbs or more.
Ability to work remotely.
Work in all types of weather conditions; outside for extended periods of time when visiting project sites.
Ability to work in typical office environment as needed.
Ability to work in typical warehouse environment as needed.
