This position is an on-site position located in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Relocation Assistance is available for the successful candidate. Your key responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate employee well-being programs with a focus on early intervention and prevention.
  • Provide expert advice to leaders on organizational changes impacting employee wellness.
  • Develop and implement culture initiatives aligned with our People Strategy and Culture Commitment.
  • Support leadership development programs emphasizing psychological safety.
  • Build strong partnerships with community resources, union representatives, and external providers.
  • Design and deliver engaging educational programs, workshops, and seminars.
  • Oversee diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, including education, resources, and council development.
  • Track and analyze wellness metrics, ROI, and health outcomes to inform continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure program quality, compliance, and risk management.
  • Lead and inspire team members to achieve measurable goals aligned with organizational values.

What you bring

  • Proven ability to develop and manage large-scale wellness programs.
  • Expertise in program oversight, policy development, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and coaching abilities.
  • Analytical skills to interpret health data and make evidence-based recommendations.
  • High level of empathy, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of holistic wellness, behavior change, and preventive health practices.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • 5–7+ years of experience in corporate wellness, culture, health coaching, or related areas.
  • Certifications such as Prosci, Wellness Coach, CWP, CPT, RD (considered an asset).
  • Experience in employee engagement, change management, and culture enhancement.
  • Familiarity with engagement tools, culture assessments, and psychological health and safety standards.
