We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Continuing Care Assistants to provide high-quality support to our residents and clients. In this role, you will assist with daily living activities, ensure comfort and safety, and promote independence for individuals in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring hospice or dementia care. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through attentive caregiving and support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents and clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
  • Support patients with medication administration following prescribed guidelines
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
  • Help with mobility and transfer activities, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
  • Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals
  • Support patients during activities of daily living in various settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or private homes
  • Assist with specialized care needs such as dementia care, hospice support, or working with individuals with disabilities

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in nursing home is preferred
  • Knowledge of patient care practices and caregiving techniques
  • Experience working with seniors, people with disabilities, or individuals requiring dementia or hospice care is advantageous
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate nature
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant certifications, such as CPR or first aid
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends as needed

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 80 per week
