About
Responsibilities:
- Provide insight into the constructability of projects and propose cost-effective solutions and variations on design and materials.
- Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients and vendors.
- Assist in managing the bid process, review, and prepare bid documents.
- Evaluate tenders when received and prepare cost breakdowns.
- Negotiate/award contracts with respective vendors.
- Coordinate all members of the project establish production schedules and revise schedules to reflect changes, backlogs, or delays.
- Assist in managing budget compliance and in processing all financial aspects of the project (e.g., contracts, purchase orders, billing inquiries, change orders, invoices, payments, etc.)
- Monitor work progress to assess compliance with quality standards and ensure constant communication with internal and external stakeholders on project progression.
- Analyze shop drawings and data sheets to determine requests for information (RFI), update and load drawings into Procore.
- Coordinate production and shipping activities and ensure that schedules are respected by tracking the reception of components produced, received, and shipped.
- Prepare and document production, purchase orders, vendor quotes, packing slips, transportation, schedules, delays, changes, and other information related to the project.
- Assist in unit handover, job closing, and post-mortem.
Qualifications:
- BAC or DEC in engineering, architecture, interior design, construction technology, or any related education
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Professional working proficiency in both English and French (spoken and written)
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Procore (Project Management Software), and Bluebeam software is considered an asset
- Excellent communication, planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Must be flexible, client-centered, proactive and solution-oriented
