As we continue to grow, we seek a skilled Foil Stamping Kluge Operator to join our team.
Position Overview:
The Foil Stamping Kluge Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Kluge foil stamping and embossing presses to produce high-quality printed and packaging materials. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency. The operator ensures that foil stamping, embossing, and related finishing processes meet exact specifications, production schedules, and quality standards, particularly for premium commercial, packaging, and specialty print applications.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Kluge presses, understands foil stamping dies, makeready procedures, pressure and temperature controls, and works closely with prepress, production, and quality control teams to deliver consistent, visually flawless results.
Required Skills & Experience – Foil Stamping Kluge Operator:
  • 8+ years experience operating Kluge foil stamping and embossing presses.
  • Proven ability to perform full makeready (die mounting, counters, foil setup, registration).
  • Strong understanding of heat, pressure, dwell time, and registration control.
  • Experience with metallic, pigment, matte, and specialty foils.
  • Ability to run foil stamping, embossing, debossing, and combination dies.
  • Experience with paperboard, coated/uncoated, and specialty substrates.
  • Ability to read and follow job tickets, dielines, and production specs.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting and press maintenance.
  • High attention to quality control (coverage, sharpness, adhesion, emboss depth).
  • Focus on efficiency, waste reduction, and consistent output.
  • Knowledge of shop safety procedures and heated tooling handling.
  • Able to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced production environment.
