Lead Field Installer

About

A successful oil and gas service company is in need of additional field installers and Yard Laborers with heavy equipment experience. We are the only full service acoustical sound control system designer and installer of drilling rig noise mitigation systems available for rental or purchase in stock ready to be installed on any site anywhere in the world. Must be able to commute to our office in Alberta.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Safely install and remove sound control materials by hand or using machinery including but not limited to skid steers, extended reach forklifts, and cranes.
  • Measure/create gate per customer specifications using sound control material.
  • Measure and installing custom panels and SK product line.
  • Install and remove sound control material on/off from shoring mounted sleeves.
  • Complete bill of lading for shipments and calculate load weight.
  • Layout soundwall plan
  • Complete daily field tickets (DFT) in ERP system.
  • Compete job hazard analysis (JSA)
  • Conduct equipment inspection daily and update ERP system upon completion.
  • Contact machine rental company to schedule pick up of equipment.
  • Train, mentor and coach other employees.
  • Conduct tailgate health & safety meetings.
  • Identify utilities, inform crew, and modify layout plan as needed.
  • Point of contact with customer while on site.
  • Communicate with leadership regarding project status, issues, etc. as needed, but at least once per day.
  • Stack sound control materials by hand.
  • Operate various hand tools during sound wall installation.
  • Assist in site preparation including manual digging/trenching.
  • Assist in site cleanup.
  • Assist in the building and refurbishment of sound control materials.
  • Assist with miscellaneous yard work as requested.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating equipment, such as forklifts, skid steers and boom lifts.
  • Experience with rigging up and using equipment to move heavy loads.
  • Knowledge of process/procedures needed to install permanent sound control material.
  • Working with and around cranes.
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and overtime/weekends as needed.
  • Ability to drive company vehicles as needed- valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
  • Construction experience and/or oil field experience a plus
  • Welding experience a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
