Lensa . Description Amazon Web Services (AWS) internships are full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 consecutive weeks during summer. In Annapurna Labs, we are at the forefront of hardware co-design in AWS and the industry. Our work is cutting-edge and internet-scale, focusing on products like Machine Learning acceleration and FPGA acceleration. We design and build hardware and software components, from creating silicon to managing systems at AWS's scale. As a member of the Cloud-Scale Machine Learning Acceleration team, you'll be responsible for designing and optimizing hardware and software in our data centers, including technologies like AWS Inferentia, a machine learning inference accelerator. If this excites you, join us to build the future! Key job responsibilities Perform physical design for Amazon's machine learning custom silicon solutions. Participate in physical design aspects: floorplanning, circuit analysis, power/clock distribution, timing optimization, place and route, power integrity analysis, and verification. Write Tcl or PERL scripts to improve design flows. Collaborate with RTL and DFT designers for high-quality implementation. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Graduation between May 2023 and December 2025. Scripting experience with Python, Perl, or similar. Strong understanding of VLSI circuit design fundamentals. Completed at least one VLSI design and implementation course with lab projects. Preferred Qualifications Master's or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Relevant internship experience. Experience with FinFET design, clock/power distribution, Spice analysis. Experience with Place and Route, digital implementation. Familiarity with EDA tools (Synopsys, Cadence). Experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog. Amazon is an equal opportunity employer.
