Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is looking for a Systems Administrator 1 to support the Joint Training Synthetic Environment (JTSE) Joint Staff J7(JS J-7) contract at our Suffolk, VA Joint Staff Complex. What You Will Do Oversee the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, coordinating with network administrators as needed. Monitor, maintain, and support servers, workstations, and network devices to ensure optimal performance. Install and configure operating systems and application software on servers and government-furnished equipment (GFE). Provide hands-on technical support for hardware, software, and networking issues across the organization. Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies within Active Directory. Apply software patches and perform regular system updates to maintain security and functionality. Assist with system backups and conduct disaster recovery testing to safeguard data. Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for systems, processes, and procedures. Collaborate with IT team members on infrastructure projects, upgrades, and system enhancements. Escalate complex technical issues to senior administrators when necessary. Ensure the security and privacy of all information systems in accordance with organizational policies. What You Must Have 0 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience. Hands-on experience with server administration (Windows/Linux) Security + Certification (or must have within 90 days of employment) Physical Requirements Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the Systems Analyst discipline.
