About
Key Responsibilities
Work with Lead Solution Architects, Senior and Staff Engineers, and Heads of Tech to provide strong technical solutions for value streams and own those solutions from ideation to delivery.
Lead and contribute to governance forums, ensuring solutions adhere to established standards and patterns, identifying and controlling divergences, and escalating where necessary.
Build productive relationships with technical and business stakeholders to maintain alignment of technology and business strategies.
Maintain a detailed understanding of the architecture for the value stream and produce high‑quality documentation of decision points, building blocks, principles, rationale, roadmaps and interdependencies.
Contribute to the architecture repository using Admiral’s architecture modelling tools.
Communicate strategies, research findings and industry insights about emerging technologies, products and services to stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience with API Management & Gateway platforms such as Azure API Management.
Experience with integration platforms such as TIBCO, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi or Azure Integration Services.
Designing data retrieval pipelines, autonomous LLM orchestration, and Model Evaluation Services frameworks.
Prompt Management – strategic approach to prompt versioning, testing and lifecycle management.
Strong knowledge of integration security best practices and data exchange formats.
Designing RESTful APIs and Event‑Driven Architectures; applying integration patterns and architecture styles.
Understanding of software delivery pipelines, CI/CD practices and cloud deployment in at least one major cloud environment.
Recognised expertise in Architecture and current development trends; innovative problem‑solving abilities.
Stakeholder management and clear communication at all levels.
Business acumen – understanding commercial considerations and ensuring solutions reflect them.
Proactive approach to improvement and development opportunities.
Desirable Skills
Experience with cloud containerisation technologies (e.g., AKS, GKE).
Knowledge of Financial Services IT Architecture & Strategy.
Experience operating in a heavily regulated environment, including external regulated consumer products and services.
Familiarity with current and emerging IT standards such as IEEE, IEC, BSI, ISO.
Budget preparation and monitoring skills to manage costs and ensure value for money.
