We're hiring a Principal to join our senior leadership team and help scale PM61's growth—by building trusted executive relationships, shaping winning solutions, and leading high-performing teams across complex client engagements.
This is a role for a builder : someone who can grow accounts, open doors, and ensure delivery is strong, predictable, and client trusted.
Requirements
What you'll do
Lead growth (new logos + account expansion)
- Own business development across a portfolio: expand existing relationships , develop net-new opportunities, and create a consistent pipeline.
- Build and deepen relationships with senior client stakeholders (Director/VP/C-level) and become a trusted advisor.
- Lead discovery and solution shaping: understand client constraints, define outcomes, and translate needs into clear proposals/SOWs and delivery plans.
- Represent PM61 in the market—networking, partnering, and positioning our capabilities in a way that wins.
Lead delivery outcomes (client trust + repeatability)
- Translate strategic goals into execution: break priorities into deliverables, assign ownership, align resources, and drive results.
- Establish strong client operating rhythms: governance, reporting, risk management, and stakeholder communication .
- Ensure engagements deliver measurable business value—on time, on budget, and with clarity.
Build and lead teams (matrix + specialists)
- Assemble and lead industry-seasoned teams in a matrix environment (PMs, BAs, architects, developers, QA).
- Coach team leads and set standards for execution, communication, and quality.
- Drive accountability across delivery while maintaining a collaborative, high-performance culture.
Bring innovation and market relevance
- Stay ahead of industry trends and identify practical innovations that improve client outcomes.
- Contribute to PM61's go-to-market evolution: reusable offers, vertical insights, case studies, and delivery playbooks.
PM61 services you'll help sell and deliver
You'll be representing and shaping engagements across PM61's core capabilities, including:
- Microsoft Dynamics CRM Implementation (customized implementations aligned to business processes)
- Salesforce Enterprise Solutions (enterprise-grade implementations delivered quickly, cost-effectively, and with minimal risk)
- Systems Integration (assessing architecture and integrating applications to simplify and optimize IT environments)
- IT Strategy & Enterprise Architecture
- Project Management (IT technologies) (tailored delivery leadership to reduce risk and cost)
- Business Architecture (mapping/modeling the business to strategy to improve accountability and decision-making)
- Custom Development (applications built to support thousands of users; software designed around client objectives)
What we're looking for (current market aligned)
Must-haves
- 5+ years of B2B lead generation / business development experience , ideally in consulting, enterprise software, IT services, or systems integration.
- Strong track record of consultative sales : discovery → solution design → proposal → close.
- Strong executive communication skills (written + verbal); confident running stakeholder meetings and presenting.
- Ability to operate independently with high ownership, while collaborating tightly with delivery and leadership.
- Comfortable in fast-changing environments with competing priorities.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada; fluent in English.
- Able to work in Pacific Time (PST) .
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with CRM platforms (Dynamics 365, Salesforce; other CRM exposure is a plus).
- Delivery leadership experience (program/project leadership, governance, portfolio management).
- PMP (or equivalent) is an asset.
- Experience leading teams in a matrix / contractor-heavy model.
