About

We are seeking an experienced Manager of DevOps to lead our DevOps team and drive the implementation of best-in-class practices for CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and cloud operations. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our software delivery pipelines and production environments.

As the Manager of DevOps, you will collaborate closely with engineering, security, and product teams to streamline deployment processes, optimize system performance, and champion a culture of automation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Strategy
    • Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
    • Define and execute the DevOps roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
  • Infrastructure & Automation
    • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
    • Drive infrastructure-as-code practices using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
  • Cloud & Systems Management
    • Manage cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) ensuring high availability and cost optimization.
    • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for proactive system health management.
  • Security & Compliance
    • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
    • Integrate security into the DevOps lifecycle (DevSecOps).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with development teams to improve release processes and reduce deployment friction.
    • Work with product management to align infrastructure capabilities with business needs.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles with at least 3 years in leadership.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD)
  • Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
  • Deep expertise in cloud platforms: GCP, AWS, Azure (multi-cloud experience preferred)
  • Proficient in automation (Python, Bash, Go) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Crossplane)
  • Experience building and scaling observability platforms (New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure and Internal Developer Platforms (Backstage, Humanitec)
  • Familiarity with security tools and DevSecOps practices (Vault, SOPS, Chainguard)
