At J.D. Irving, Limited (JDI) our role as stewards of the land is one of the most important, we play. Our business begins with the forest. J.D. Irving Woodlands is JDI's division dedicated to overseeing sustainable forest management, research and conservation, and protection of our forests. We operate 2 nurseries that are home to a world leading level of technology and innovation (located in Juniper and Sussex New Brunswick), producing 28 million seedlings annually.

We are currently looking for a motivated individual(s) to join us as a Class 1 Drive r to deliver seedlings to our planting sites across Maine, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive with purpose – Operate Class 1 vehicles in compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Support field operations – Transport seedlings to planting sites and hauling of materials between our two nurseries.
  • Ensure vehicle readiness – Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks to keep vehicles in top condition.

What We're Looking For:

  • Licensing & Experience – Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record and proven experience operating commercial vehicles. Experience with a self-loader and/or knuckle boom crane is required.
  • Safety-first mindset – Strong understanding of road safety and off-road vehicle operation.
  • Pride in Work - Successful individual(s) will have an excellent work ethic and take pride in basic upkeep of assigned units.

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work varied hours and travel to remote locations.
    Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions.
