About the Role:

Our client, a leading consulting firm, is seeking an experienced
Senior Azure DevOps Engineer
to design, automate, and optimize cloud infrastructure for enterprise-scale environments. This is a highly technical, hands-on role focused on
Azure infrastructure automation
,
Terraform Enterprise
, and
Kubernetes (AKS)
, with strong emphasis on networking, security, and CI/CD integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated pipelines for Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Build and manage
  AKS private clusters
  , including networking, private endpoints, and DNS resolution.
• Manage and enhance a
  Terraform module library
  to support Infrastructure as Code best practices.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts in
  Python
  or
  GoLang
  for onboarding, configuration, and CI/CD workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve onboarding-related issues, including
  networking, security, and configuration
  challenges.
• Collaborate with distributed teams to support application onboarding to Azure cloud environments.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 7+ years
  of experience with
  Azure
  infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code.
• At least
  5
  years of expertise with
  Terraform Enterprise
  — module creation, variable/parameter passing, state management.
• Hands-on experience with
  AKS
  and
  Kubernetes
  (including private clusters, CRDs, and Azure Service Operator).
• Proficient with
  Azure networking
  — private endpoints, vNets, Azure Private DNS zones, name resolution.
• Strong scripting skills in
  Python
  or
  GoLang
  .
• Containerization experience with
  Docker
  and orchestration in
  AKS
  .
• CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Groovy pipelines.
• Familiarity with
  Azure Managed Identities
  (system-assigned vs. user-assigned) and Entra ID security principals.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex Azure onboarding issues.

Nice-to-Have

• HashiCorp Terraform Certification.
• Experience with OpenShift, Anthos, streaming platforms, or hybrid cloud services (ARC).
• Familiarity with SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies.
