January 5th Position Overview
The Customer Service Applications team within Business Technologies seeks a Data Engineer to support Operations using the Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power?BI). Operations aim to improve reporting on security wait times, assets and maintenance schedules, and snow events. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with BI team and customers to gather requirements. Create/update SSIS packages to extract data from various sources and build/update tabular models using SSAS. Follow BT processes, documentation standards, and provide knowledge transfer. Develop tabular models and Power?BI dashboards for data visualization. Assist with Microsoft Fabric rollout using medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold), including pipeline updates.
Required Experience
3+ years in Business Intelligence design and delivery. 3+ years with SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and Power?BI. Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling. Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure integration experience is a strong plus.
