You will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials, ensuring timely loading and unloading of trucks. Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve palletized goods and materials.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on forklift equipment, reporting any issues promptly.
- Load and unload merchandise from trucks, ensuring proper placement and securing of loads.
- Transport inventory between different areas of the warehouse, such as receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Assist in maintaining an organized and orderly warehouse environment.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Strictly follow all company Safety policies, traffic regulations, and operating procedures.
- Always wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate effectively with warehouse staff to ensure efficient logistics operations.
Requirements:
- Possession of a valid Forklift Operator certification.
- Demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse Safety practices and equipment operation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
