You will be responsible for implementing and refining inventory control procedures, conducting thorough audits, and analyzing data to identify and resolve discrepancies. Your expertise will ensure that our stock levels are accurate, minimizing stockouts and overages, and supporting smooth warehouse operations. You will collaborate with various departments, including receiving, shipping, and operations, to uphold inventory accuracy across the board. Responsibilities:
- Execute and manage cycle counting programs to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by identifying root causes.
- Maintain precise inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Process inventory adjustments, receipts, and transfers accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with receiving and shipping teams to reconcile documentation and physical stock.
- Monitor product movement and ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO).
- Generate and present inventory reports, highlighting key performance indicators and actionable insights.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Support logistics and operational efficiency by providing reliable inventory data.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and control.
Qualifications:
- Experience in inventory control or a similar role within a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to interpret and analyze data effectively.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
- Solid understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications are a plus.
