We are actively recruiting a skilled Forklift Operator for our facility in Detroit, Michigan. This role is essential for the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout our warehouse, supporting our extensive logistics operations. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload shipments, move inventory, and maintain an organized stockroom. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, reliable, and experienced in operating various types of forklifts. - Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, etc.) to move goods within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with accuracy and care.
- Stack and organize inventory in designated areas, optimizing warehouse space.
- Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure safety and functionality.
- Assist with inventory management activities, such as cycle counts.
- Follow all established safety rules and regulations, including proper lifting techniques and the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Valid forklift certification and a minimum of 1-3 years of operational experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and adhere to lifting requirements.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse management.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
