About
Seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist for our Huntsville, Alabama facility. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, supporting the smooth flow of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for tracking inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize stock loss. A keen analytical mind, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to Safety are essential. Your work directly impacts efficiency, cost control, and customer satisfaction. We are committed to maintaining a secure and accurate inventory system.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
- Monitor stock rotation and identify obsolete or slow-moving items.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and wear required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory best practices.
- Knowledge of Safety procedures related to inventory handling.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting as required.
