We are looking to add an MRI Technologist to our Grand Rapids area locations. This is a full-time position where you will be expected to work 12-hour shifts. To be a successful MRI Technologist, you should have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be sensitive to the needs of the patients. We pride ourselves on treating our patients as if they were our family! You should show attention to detail and be able to work in a team. The MRI Technologist’s responsibilities include explaining the MRI procedure to patients, screening patients for MRI safety, selecting and optimizing imaging parameters, viewing images for excellent quality, starting and completing exams in the EMR and verifying all images in PACs.
*MRI Technologist Responsibilities:*
· Explaining the MRI process to patients and ensuring the patients comply with all safety standards.
· Verifying orders.
· Positioning patients and verifying correct body part.
· Insert and then remove IVs and catheters for the MRI procedure.
· Monitoring patients during scanning and maintaining patients' records.
· Monitoring MRI equipment functions.
· Ensuring clear images for Physicians to provide accurate diagnoses.
· Recognizing abnormalities and irregularities in images.
· Daily QA
*MRI Technologist Requirements:*
· Must be a graduate of an accredited MRI program or have an associate degree in applied science (radiography).
· Proven experience with MRI equipment and patient care.
· ARRT or ARMRIT registered.
· CPR/BLS certification.
· Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
· Attention to detail.
· Interpersonal and technical skills.
· Effective communication skills.
