Bright Vision Technologies has an immediate contract opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer. Location: Jersey City, NJ (Remote). Duration: 6+ months with possible extension. Required Experience: 5 - 8 years of professional experience in data engineering, data architecture, or backend systems at scale. Proven ability to design and optimize complex data systems for performance, scalability, and security. Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT principles, and workflow orchestration. Experience with modern software development practices, including CI/CD, testing, and infrastructure automation. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to diverse audiences. A passion for creating clarity and insight through data, not just managing pipelines. Preferred Experience: Hands-on experience with Databricks and/or Azure-based data architectures. Background in building data systems that support machine learning or AI-driven applications. Experience leading modernization or migration of large-scale data platforms. Familiarity with observability and cost-optimization strategies for distributed data systems.
