Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and installing building frameworks, ensuring structural integrity, and adhering to safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including residential, commercial, and restoration sites, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques. The position requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, carpentry, and heavy equipment operation, with a focus on delivering quality craftsmanship in a timely manner.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine framing requirements.
- Construct, install, and repair building frameworks using wood, concrete forms, siding, and other materials.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to complete framing tasks.
- Perform concrete forming and finishing as needed for foundation or structural support.
- Execute welding tasks for metal components when required.
- Assist with restoration projects by rebuilding or reinforcing existing structures.
- Ensure all framing work complies with safety regulations and building codes.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other tradespeople to meet project specifications.
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly handle all tools and materials.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or framing roles; experience with concrete forming, siding, restoration preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and concrete finishing processes.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
