Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our landscape construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy equipment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision on job sites. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, utilizing mechanical expertise and heavy equipment operation skills to contribute to successful project completion.

Duties

  • Operate heavy machinery including excavators, skid steers, driving a 3 ton vehicle and other various landscaping equipment with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
  • You should be able to drive a vehicle and towing a trailer at the same time.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
  • Assist in site preparation, grading, excavation, and material handling tasks.
  • Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to execute tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage and report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to prevent accidents or injuries on site.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion.

Experience

  • Proven experience operating landscape construction equipment such as rollers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and cranes.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to maintenance and troubleshooting of construction machinery.
  • Familiarity with construction sites, commercial driving, and machinery operation is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in equipment operation within construction environments is highly desirable.
  • Valid commercial driver's license is a plus. This position requires a dedicated professional with strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety standards. Candidates should possess relevant experience operating various types of heavy machinery commonly used in construction projects.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
