Excavator Operator

As we expand, we are looking for an experienced, organized, and hardworking Heavy Equipment Operator to work in our civil division. This position is considered full-time and a permanent position.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate Excavators ranging from 5ton to 35ton with capabilities of grading, working in tight areas, and following directions.
• Operate Skid steers with capabilities of grading, working in tight areas, and following directions.
• Operate Vibratory Rollers for compaction purposes
• Operate Dozers as required depending on the project assigned
• Projects that you will be involved with will include excavation and backfill of excavations, civil construction, demolition, stripping and grading.
• It will be your responsibility to take care of the equipment including daily maintenance and inspections.
• It will be your responsibility to follow Lubec Construction safety procedures for all different types of work.
• Applicant will be asked to assist other staff throughout the day pending on the project that may involve labor work
• Willing to work in other areas other than Victoria is an asset.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to work according to deadlines and as a team player.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
• You must have a valid class 5 drivers license and transportation to and from work.
• A minimum of 3 years experience in similar role is required.
• Civil infrastructure install knowledge of 1 year is required.
• Reading and understanding project drawings is an asset
• Willing to learn.

PERKS WITH LUBEC:

• Hourly pay rate of $38 - $45 depending on experience.

• Work hours 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday – Friday with occasional overtime
