Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Executive Chef by overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining exceptional food safety standards. The Sous Chef will be instrumental in supervising kitchen staff, managing food service operations, and delivering an outstanding dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain consistency and excellence in dishes served
  • Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative team environment
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling of ingredients to uphold hygiene standards
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of orders and excellent customer service
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain efficient kitchen operations
  • Support the development of new menu items in collaboration with the culinary team
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area according to health department regulations

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling techniques
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing or guiding a culinary team
  • Extensive restaurant management experience preferred, including familiarity with kitchen operations and food safety protocols
  • Knowledge of the food industry trends, hospitality standards, and serving best practices
  • Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is essential; candidates should have a solid understanding of culinary principles and team management
  • Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of quality

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,336.81-$66,529.25 per year
