Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Executive Chef by overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining exceptional food safety standards. Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain consistency and excellence in dishes served
- Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative team environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling of ingredients to uphold hygiene standards
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of orders and excellent customer service
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain efficient kitchen operations
- Support the development of new menu items in collaboration with the culinary team
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area according to health department regulations
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling techniques
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing or guiding a culinary team
- Extensive restaurant management experience preferred, including familiarity with kitchen operations and food safety protocols
- Knowledge of the food industry trends, hospitality standards, and serving best practices
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is essential; candidates should have a solid understanding of culinary principles and team management
- Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of quality
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,336.81-$66,529.25 per year
