About the Opportunity

Zen Residential Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced property with a large tenant community and a dedicated team.

You will report directly to the Property Manager and play a hands-on role in leasing, tenant relations, and retention efforts. This position offers a chance to build a career in property management, with an opportunity for performance-based bonuses and a supportive team environment.

What You'll Do
  • Support the Community Manager in managing the daily operations of assigned properties

  • Provide prompt, professional service to residents and prospects, ensuring satisfaction and retention

  • Assist with leasing processes, including prospect communication, applications, lease renewals, and move-ins/outs

  • Collect and post rent, monitor arrears, and track tenant violations as needed

  • Coordinate and follow up on maintenance requests to ensure suites are well-maintained and market-ready

  • Assist with inspections (move-in, move-out, and periodic unit checks)

  • Market available units through listings, promotions, and community engagement efforts

  • Maintain accurate reports and records, including traffic, vacancy, and Yardi database management

  • Support community events that build connection and enhance resident experience

  • Contribute to property safety, security, and compliance with company policies and local regulations

  • Collaborate with the property management team to meet operational and financial targets

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience in property management, leasing, or a related field (multi-family preferred)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset

  • Proficiency with property management software (e.g., Yardi) and Microsoft Office

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Knowledge of local property management regulations and best practices

  • Financial acumen and attention to detail for rent collection, reporting, and compliance

  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation

  • A collaborative, professional demeanour with a commitment to delivering exceptional service
