Maki/Sushi Chef

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate person who willing to learn and to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a particular focus on sushi and Japanese cuisine. As a maki/aushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant's standards, while ensuring food safety and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.

Duties

• Prepare and present sushi dishes according to traditional recipes and modern techniques.
• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs to management.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests when necessary and accommodating special requests.
• Stay updated on current trends in the food industry to enhance menu offerings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant industry.
• Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and handling various types of seafood.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in meal preparation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
