Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and extensive experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management. As a vital part of our kitchen operations, the Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen activities, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and service. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in supervising kitchen staff and managing daily operations
  • Oversee food preparation and ensure dishes meet quality standards
  • Lead cooking activities, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
  • Manage food handling procedures to adhere to safety regulations
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy hours
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment
  • Support in training new staff and fostering a collaborative team atmosphere
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including food safety protocols
  • Contribute to menu planning and development in collaboration with the culinary team
  • Serve as a leader in the absence of the Head Chef, maintaining smooth kitchen operations

Qualifications

  • Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team
  • Extensive restaurant management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food handling safety standards and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Hands-on experience with kitchen equipment and food industry best practices
  • Passion for culinary arts and hospitality excellence
  • Ability to lead by example, motivate staff, and uphold high standards of service
