Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in supervising kitchen staff and managing daily operations
- Oversee food preparation and ensure dishes meet quality standards
- Lead cooking activities, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
- Manage food handling procedures to adhere to safety regulations
- Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy hours
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment
- Support in training new staff and fostering a collaborative team atmosphere
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including food safety protocols
- Contribute to menu planning and development in collaboration with the culinary team
- Serve as a leader in the absence of the Head Chef, maintaining smooth kitchen operations
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team
- Extensive restaurant management experience preferred
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and regulations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure
- Hands-on experience with kitchen equipment and food industry best practices
