About the role:
RHEI is seeking a creative digital content expert to drive the growth of YouTube channels dedicated to the entertainment vertical, including iconic movies, studios, and TV episode archives. In this role, you will embody the voice of a major movie studio by effectively curating and packaging existing content to maximize reach and engagement through optimized thumbnails, titles, and descriptions. You won't be creating original content, but you will reimagine existing videos, behind-the-scenes footage, interviews, and film and TV clips to build compelling narratives and grow audiences across YouTube and other social platforms.

Reporting to the Lead – Channel Management (Entertainment), you will be responsible for developing channel strategies, identifying standout segments, and delivering engaging short and long-form video content on a daily and weekly basis. You'll collaborate with editors and designers to shape stories that resonate with movie fans. You'll also work across packaging (titles, descriptions, thumbnails), metadata, and AI-driven tools to optimize content.

Key Responsibilities:
- Curate and repackage existing movie and TV content (performances, interviews, documentaries, and archival footage) into engaging YouTube videos aligned with client and brand guidelines.
- Curate and select scenes for compilation videos and thematic playlists, ensuring cohesive storytelling and optimal audience engagement.
- Oversee assigned YouTube channel operations, including content research, programming, metadata and thumbnail optimization, and visual packaging, ensuring all deliverables meet quality and compliance standards.
- Develop and maintain content calendars that align with release schedules, seasonal moments, and platform trends.
- Use AI and automation tools (e.g., Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT) to enhance production efficiency and improve creative output.
- Conduct periodic trend and audience research to inform content direction and broader channel strategy.
- Ideate and propose new brand channels, verticals, or programming opportunities based on audience data and market trends.
- Collaborate asynchronously with editors, designers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of assigned projects.
- Maintain organized documentation of deliverables, ensuring proper version control and archive management.
- Monitor audience engagement and provide insights or moderation support when relevant to assigned scopes.
- Analyze video and channel performance data, summarizing key insights and optimization recommendations.
- Contribute to creative ideation, light scripting, and edit feedback on assigned videos and series.
Key Requirements:
- Early-career profile (internships, co-ops, or self-produced work) in media, entertainment, or digital content/media.
- Working knowledge of SEO and YouTube best practices, including metadata, thumbnails, and audience discovery.
- Strong editorial instincts with a genuine passion for film and television, plus fluency across studio franchises, streaming trends, and digital fandom culture.
- Excellent writing and copy-editing skills, with high attention to detail and consistent brand voice control.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple fast-moving projects and tight delivery timelines.
- Ability to interpret performance data and audience behavior to inform programming and optimization decisions.
- Comfortable collaborating across teams (editors, designers, channel leads) in a structured workflow environment.
- Curious, adaptable, and proactive mindset, with a willingness to learn new tools and processes quickly.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies, including AI and automation tools used in content workflows.
- Portfolio or examples demonstrating creative, editorial, or digital media capabilities.
This is a remote position, and you can be based anywhere in the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario, Canada.
