Who You Are:

You are a one-of-a-kind Sales Manager Team Leader with experience in overseeing sales, vendor relationships, and running sales activities to ensure that the company's sales targets and objectives are met. You are a customer service-driven professional who will ensure that we are providing our customer base with exceptional service by ensuring our sales teams are providing exceptional customer service and minimizing lead times by keeping close contact with suppliers.

Your mission at Sego Canada is to take the current systems we have in place for sales and people to manage activities and make improvements to these processes while holding people accountable. We are not talking about a cookie-cutter model cobbled together from industry "best practices". We are talking about building something unique that works for our business.

You can negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups and can settle differences with minimum noise. You are skillful at marshaling resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done, and can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal.

About the Role:

Sales Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and coach a team of outside and inside sales reps across all branches.
  • Set clear sales targets (bookings, billings, backlog health) aligned to Sego's budgets and growth objectives.
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings and one-on-ones, focusing on pipeline health, customer coverage, and GP% improvement.

Strategic Growth & Market Development

  • Drive YOY growth by expanding Sego's share in groundwater, municipal, and industrial pump markets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in untapped territories or verticals.
  • Develop branch specific sales strategies in alignment with branch managers and senior sales staff

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Track team performance against quotas (bookings, gross margin, EBITA contribution).
  • Utilize SAP B1 dashboards and CRM reporting for sales forecasting and activity tracking.

Customer & Vendor Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with key customers, contractors, and municipal accounts.
  • Partner with vendor reps (Goulds, Franklin, Pentair, etc.) to drive joint sales programs and training.
  • Handle escalated customer issues to maintain service excellence.

Leadership and Culture

  • Recruit, onboard, and develop top sales talent.
  • Mentor sales representatives on value-based selling and customer call reporting.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and "acting like an owner"

Required Experience:

  • Post-Secondary degree in a technical or business-related field, or a combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years in a technical industry related role.
  • 5 years' experience in managing a team.
  • University degree is considered an asset but industry experience is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $120,000.00 per year
