Position Overview

The Restaurant Supervisor supports the Operation Support Manager in overseeing the daily operations of Jam's Burgers & Shakes. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining smooth service flow, ensuring consistent product quality, and delivering excellent guest experiences. The Supervisor leads shifts, coordinates front-of-house and back-of-house activities and supports team training and development. Acting as a key point of leadership during shifts, the Supervisor fosters a positive work environment, models outstanding customer service, and upholds operational standards.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team to deliver exceptional customer service and high-quality product preparation
  • Supervise daily operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and cleanliness in line with company standards
  • Prepare food and drinks with quality and efficiency
  • Train and support front-line staff to maintain high service and quality standards
  • Maintain and monitor equipment, ensuring functionality and cleanliness
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
  • Oversee cash handling and POS operations with accuracy
  • Support Restaurant Manager with scheduling, reporting, and team performance management

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the food and beverage industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate the team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask effectively, and handle pressure with a positive attitude.
  • Flexibility in working shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the cafe's schedule.
  • Passion for food and desserts, a genuine interest in creating delightful experiences for customers, and a commitment to upholding quality standards.
  • Familiarity with food safety and workplace health regulations
  • Comfort with basic administrative tasks

Working Environment

Jam's Burgers & Shakes is a fast-paced, team-oriented restaurant environment where multitasking, collaboration, and high energy are key to success. The role requires standing and walking for extended periods, working in a hot kitchen environment, and supporting both front-of-house and back-of-house operations as needed. The Restaurant Manager must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs, including boxes of supplies or inventory items. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required to meet the needs of the business.
