Our client has an exciting opportunity to be part of the Leadership Team as a Manager, Marketing and Communications for professional accounting firms. With over 30 years of continuous growth, our client provides insurance and risk related solutions for accounting firms in public practice within Canada and Bermuda. These products allow insured clients to mitigate insurance-related risks and provide them with peace of mind and confidence to focus on their practice.

The Opportunity

The Manager, Marketing and Communications is an important member of the leadership team. The incumbent in this role will contribute to the company's strategic plan and ensure a customer and stakeholder centric mindset focused on creating and maintaining positive experiences. Their primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate the company's marketing, communication strategy and implementation plans. This includes brand awareness, positive engagement with current and prospective clients and stakeholders, and ultimately supporting business goals and revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Awareness

·      Responsible for brand strategy, promises, values and core messaging across all channels and target audiences.

·      Define and execute the brand's voice, tone, and visual identity across all communication channels.

·      Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify market trends and opportunities.

·      Monitor and evaluate brand performance, making data-driven recommendations and improvements.

·      Optimize brand awareness including policyholder events, seminars, strategic sponsorships, and media relations.

Marketing & Communications

·      Collaborate with business leaders on high priority projects, providing support to cross functional goals and initiatives including product, pricing, and reporting.

·      Develop and execute the annual marketing and communications strategy to support the organization's strategic direction.

·      Oversee management and optimization of the company website, social media, content, and digital marketing tools, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience.

·      Develop and oversee the company's content strategy including product updates, print publications or e-newsletters, bulletins, policyholder communications, promotional material, press releases and/or announcements.

·      Collaborate with the company's executives to enhance their market profile through thought leadership initiatives.

·      Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure brand positioning and messaging are consistent and effective, delivery to contracts and budget.

·      Ability to develop compelling content strategies across multiple platforms, including blogs, video, and social media."

·      Support the development of web, marketing and communication policies including privacy policies, terms of use, marketing data retention policies, subscription centers, etc.

·      Support ad hoc internal and external communications as required.

Public and Stakeholder Relations

·      Foster strong relationships with marketing and communication counterparts from of the CPA network of companies, including regional regulators and CPA Canada.

·      Promote publication of company content across key media outlets, channels and industry publications.

·      Lead the response to media inquiries and public relations efforts.

Budget Management

·      Develop and track annual Marketing budget.

·      Oversee variances on projects and related initiatives, staying on budget and reviewing and validating expenses.

Experience & Education

·      Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Business or related field

·      Minimum 8 years experience in a Marketing or Communications role (insurance industry experience is preferred)

·      Experience in B2B and B2C marketing

·      Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing and communication plans and campaigns across various channels and platforms

·      Experience with SEO, web analytics, and Google Ad words.

·      Experience leveraging AI-driven tools e.g. co-pilot.

·      Proficiency in creating impactful presentations using PowerPoint or similar tools for internal and external stakeholders.

·      Strong knowledge of various marketing channels and platforms, including email marketing, social media (LinkedIn), graphic design (Canva) and WordPress.

·      Knowledge and experience using CRM

·      Bilingual (French) is an asset
