Join our dynamic team as an Operator specializing in Snow Removal, where you will play a vital role in maintaining safe and accessible outdoor environments during winter months. This energetic position involves operating a variety of snow removal equipment and tools to ensure pathways, parking lots, and driveways are clear and safe for employees, clients, and visitors. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional service while promoting safety and efficiency in all winter maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Operate snow plows, snow blowers, and other heavy machinery such as excavators to clear snow from designated areas effectively.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for detailed snow removal tasks around landscaping features, hardscapes, and landscaped beds.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and perform maintenance or report repairs as needed.
- Assist with landscaping, lawn care, and landscape maintenance tasks during off-peak seasons to support year-round property upkeep.
- Support tree care activities including trimming and pruning to maintain healthy growth and safety around snowy conditions.
- Apply de-icing materials safely on walkways, driveways, and parking lots to prevent ice buildup.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate snow removal efforts efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Must have class 5 license and a reliable vehicle.
Experience
- Prior experience operating snow plowing equipment such as snow blowers, plows, or excavators is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, landscaping machinery, and maintenance of outdoor equipment is advantageous.
- Background in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or horticulture supports versatility in seasonal outdoor work.
- Familiarity with construction or hardscape projects enhances ability to handle diverse outdoor tasks.
- Knowledge of tree care practices including trimming and pruning contributes to comprehensive property management.
- Experience with irrigation systems or gardening can be beneficial for supporting landscape health year-round.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina is essential for success in this role.
