LOCATION: Turning Sun Project – Estavan, Saskatchewan

START DATE: This is a proactive posting. We are looking for multiple team members to join in June 2026 (for approximately 9-12 months)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Electrical Apprentice will take direction from the Electrical Foreperson and work alongside the Electrical Journeyperson. This position will be responsible to work collaboratively to connect all the wiring between the solar panels and inverters based on the drawing specifications, while adhering to the safety guidelines. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to contribute to the growth of renewable energy and gain valuable experience in the solar industry.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Executing plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning PV solar systems
  • Connecting solar panels and inverters and other high-voltage equipment to the power supply
  • Assemble, install, test and maintain PV-related electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures
  • Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
  • Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair damaged units

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrate an interest in the electrical field and construction industry.
  • Reliable and has a strong work ethic.
  • Electrical experience in construction or related field preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of construction procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.

  • Will be exposed to construction sites.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
