Role Summary

Join CHC Helicopter as our next Tax Manager - Drive Strategy, Shape Success. 

CHC is on an exciting growth journey, and we're looking for a seasoned tax leader to join our global corporate tax team. As Tax Manager, you'll report directly to the Global Tax Director and lead our North American tax team, playing a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our operations. This role is remote with the expectation you would come to the office once a month for meetings.



Key Responsibilities

What You'll Do
  • Lead with Vision: Drive tax-efficient strategies that support North American operations and influence global initiatives.
  • Own the Numbers: Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated Group tax provisions under US GAAP, including Uncertain Tax Positions and key accounting entries.
  • Ensure Compliance: Oversee accurate and timely filings for income tax, GST/PST, payroll tax, and more.
  • Be the Expert: Provide technical research and strategic insights across multiple tax regimes to optimize company performance.
  • Manage & Mentor: Develop internal talent and coordinate with external consultants to deliver excellence.
  • Navigate Complexity: Lead tax audits, liaise with authorities, and manage transfer pricing and cross-border transactions.
  • Think Globally: Collaborate on international tax planning opportunities and communicate tax uncertainties to corporate offices.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate tax environments, including at least one year in a leadership role.
  • Canadian and US tax expertise (additional foreign tax experience is a plus).
  • A degree in Tax, Accounting, or Finance, with a professional designation (CPA or equivalent); advanced certifications preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems, and deliver results.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, adaptability, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and a willingness to travel internationally.
