Assistant Project Manager
Primary Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada with frequent travel to Kitimat, British Columbia, Canada
Employee Status: Full Time
Salary Range: $80,000-$110,000 per annum

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Vice President, Marine Construction and Operations, this position will be responsible for supporting project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while coordinating with teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Prepare and manage Project Management Plans, including logistics, site coordination, permitting, mobilization/demobilization, and procurement planning.
- Develop and maintain the Project Schedule using Primavera P6, including baselines, resource loading, critical path analysis, and timely updates.
- Monitor and report project progress on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, preparing reports for stakeholders and Clients.
- Coordinate Project Management, Design Management, and other task force meetings, including preparation of agendas, meeting minutes, and follow-up actions.
- Manage tracking matrices and Project Readiness Planning to ensure compliance with requirements for construction execution approvals.
- Monitor and coordinate supply contracts, ensuring timely inspections and compliance with Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
- Track project costs, including preparation of Payment Certificates, Variation Requests, and monthly cost reports.
- Support the Project Manager in ensuring the project meets schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, and coordination in construction or industrial projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 for scheduling and critical path analysis.
- Strong knowledge of project management processes, reporting, and documentation.
- Experience in cost tracking, payment certification, and variation management.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills for stakeholder and team management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
- Knowledge of LNG, industrial, or marine construction projects is an asset.
- Must be physically fit and able to work in marine and construction environments safely.
- Ability to work flexible and rotational hours, including weekends.
- Complete drug and alcohol testing if required
